"Beauty and the Beast" Modeling and Environment work

I had the opportunity to spend close to a year and a half working on this show. I've worked in both modeling and environment departments. Modeling wise, I was in charge of one of the characters, "Chapeau", and various animated and static hero props. My job in the environment team included the opening Disney shot, a forest shot and few set extensions inside the castle.

Company : Framestore Montréal

"Chapeau" I spent around 3 months in total modeling this character. The texture/rigging and animation teams did a fantastic work. It was a pleasure collaborating with these departments.

After joining the environment team, I was in charge of the opening Disney shot. Modeling of the valley, garden around the castle, dressing of the forest and village. And of course managing the entire env so it gets rendered efficiently.

Modeling / layout of the garden. The time-frame was short. I was working in parallel on the others environment shots.

The third environment. Based on a 2D concept, me and Felix Marquis-poulin (a fellow modeler) modeled the destroyed background. Plate on the right half. The entire left half is full cg.

Beside of the pretty big modeling work, I also set up the instances to be pipe-friendly.

I was in charge of extending the set inside the castle for the final brawl. The entire second floor. I modeled some of the ornaments (credits to Duy Tran who took care of most of the modeling work for these shots). I then was in charge of the layout.
